3 Reasons to Add Guest Author to Your Content Strategy

Being a guest author for a newsletter, blog or magazine can be worth your while—if you do it right. Here are three reasons why writing a guest post can be worth your time:

1)      Get more eyes on your content.

The more places you push your content, the more people will consume it. If you guest author for blogs, newsletters or media outlets that have a strong readership, chances are good new people will be exposed to your content. If these people like what they read, chances are also good that they will be interested in hearing more of what you have to say.

2)      Adds to your credibility.

An excellent way to gain credibility is by aligning yourself with trustworthy, like-minded organizations. What are the organizations you want to be associated with? Reach out to them by offering to write a guest post for their blog or newsletter. Everyone needs content. Share something that will be worthwhile to their audience and they will be glad to publish it.

3)      Builds your network.

Sometimes the best way to start a relationship is to offer something of value. A good piece of content is a great place to start. By taking the time to create something for someone else, you are demonstrating that you esteem the organization highly enough to take the time to produce something for them.
